I may have spoken a little too soon on a few of my last blog posts, because Rabat has almost skipped winter and went straight to spring! the weather was changing that day it was a little warm than turned to windy cold, Amine and I took to my best street to shoot some new threads – luckily my thick London Tradition Duffle coat saved the day and kept me warm against the wind-chill, “The duffle was originally used in the military and for expeditions but it’s now a menswear staple and one of the only styles to be pretty much unchanged since its creation.” So, how did it go from war kit to street staple? “The duffle was a hit in the 1950s and 1960s, with a surge in usage due to artists and students having access to cheap ex-military coats.” 

In truth, the London Tradition's duffle is easiest to wear when you’re in off-duty mode, though on occasion it will team well with a suit. If in doubt, it’s the prime winter coat to throw on with your weekend garms. “The duffle coat is a great winter piece which will pair handsomely with a thick woollen roll neck jumper, tweed trousers, heavy boots and check scarf for a clean look,”  I'm really surprised with the high quality of my new duffle coat from London tradition.

I styled the look with a Tommy Hilfiger Grey roll neck, Next Grey Trousers, leather chelsea boots from Reiss, and to finish the style; a black watch. Although I’m ranting about the weather it really is an awesome time for fashion, especially for those who indulge in layering. Whether it’s a duffle coat with a roll neck or a bomber with a chunky knit, winter offers endless outfit possibilities – I can’t wait to show you guys more!
